Selected this scene as the decisive moment that I want to visualize is because it connects the beginning and ending of the whole story, I think this could be the best to express the loneliness and helpless of the main character.

This colour template is selected is because it could be the best way for me to express the relationship between light and shadow. Furthermore, it has a really strong contrast in it, which fit my idea of contrasting the old guy and his daughter.

Sketch + Brainstorming I

Sketch + Brainstorming II - Applying Brad Brid's Principles
After seeking feedback from Mr.Hafiz, he told me to make the shadow of the crutch to extend become the silhouette of the daughter. And applying the rules of third, placing the main character and daughter's head at the intersecting point.

Creating more artwork to make the story flow and connected.

After seeking advice for second time from Mr. Hafiz, he suggest me to extend the light ray until the intersecting point of rules of third. Mr. Hafiz also mentioned that the level of detail should be maintained at the same level because the old man silhouette is much more detailed that his shadow.

Other than the points in the slides, the perspective did a very great job in terms of composition to guide the visual flow to the character. The light source did the same job as well.
