Preparation of Final Project
In order to have an vision of our final project, we are required to select 3 stop motion video as our reference.
From here i am lookin at its interesting characters which is eggs that make the whole story come alive. Besides, it is small scale stop motion which match Mr. Martin requirement to show the details. Sound effect of cute eggs is another bonus to this. There is only minimal use of tools but pretty much rely on the manipulation of the clay itself which might be the obstacle here. Clay could be easily change it's shape which might affect the consistency and fluency.

The Egg Escape
Stop Motion Pizza
There is another way to make stop motion video: a process of making something. From this example, it is the process of making the pizza. It has inspired me on recording the process of making something that could transfer a normal record video into a much more funny video. With a detail noticed by me, it has clean the table every shot but leave the pathway of fruits after moving wet to make the scene looks real.
Shiny
The interaction between clothes and motion has shaped out the scene and makes the character come to live. It contains some technique of taking stop motion video which is to create a changing in perspective by only placement of the clothes, slow motion and splash effect with the placement of beans on the floor. Besides, it has some details such as wind blow on clothes.
Stop Motion Idea
Stop Motion Idea
My stop motion IDEA is the adventure story of small creatures, quit related to "Toy Story". I will do Clay and objects. The VISUAL STYLE is more towards a bright environment while considering the interaction with objects.
The selling point of my stop motion project is lively interaction between character with catching and cute sound effect as well as interaction between character and the objects around our daily routine.

First Attempt
We were given 7 audio files with the same music but in different equalizer settings. The task for this exercise was to match the sound of the 6 different tracks to the original music through manipulation of Parametric Equalizer.
FEEDBACK
- The selling point or special thing about our stop motion would be how the characters interact with the surroundings. Must be very crazy and WOW idea to catch attention
- Mr. Martin suggested to shoot in the photography studio as there is tables and controllable lightings.
- He also suggested us on "the students leave the table at the start and came back at the end" could be shot in video as well as slow motion.
- Colour should go warmer to have the sense of joyful and cute
Finalized Proposal
Idea
Character: 3 little characters/monsters
Story: A group of students were studying but the left their stuff on a table to go for a break. Their things are still on the table, after everyone left, the 3 characters would come out from pencil case/backpack/laptop bag and interact with the objects on the table. And after a while they would rush back to their places when they notice the students are coming back.
Medium
Clay for characters and objects for surrounding and environment.
Visual style
The selling point/I like the most of my stop motion project is being visually interesting

FEEDBACK
- Not necessarily to set it at 1 minute sharp, can go beyond but not lesser than
- Give more time to some actions
- SImplify scenes due to overloaded scenes when applied in stop motion
- Add introduction to characters
- New storyline: come out- saw the magazine- kiss - fight - fly(wide shot) - end

Feedback from presentation:
- Add on Foodstep, title flying in and out, suction when rushing back and laptop closing sound effects
- Cute unrealistic sound is fine as our stop motion are more to comic style
- Impact sound should louder than the expression sound
- kissing longer and flying cannot go out of the frame(bad composition)
