 Lecture 01 - Final Project Briefing
7 Jan 2020 (week 01)
Mr Shamsul is handling our final project which is an animated infographic video.


INSTRUCTION

PROPOSAL

07/01/20 - Week 01
In this week, I grouped with Kar Yan, Abbigail and Kelly. The topic given to us is "water". We are to make an infographic video with the given topic in this semester. We started to think about possible topics that we could work on it. Below are the topics that we came out:

  • The life cycle of a water droplet on earth
  • The life cycle of a water droplet in the human body

After asking for feedback with Mr.Shamsul, he said that our topics are too general and boring. Could think of some more interesting and eye-catching topic. Hence, we came out with the topic "What would happen if you run out of Saliva?" and has been approved by Mr Shamsul.

After deciding on the topic, we have roughly research on this topic to get a sight of what content we might need to include in the infographic video.

10/01/20

In the second class, We have done a throughout research on the selected topic with a script prepared and bring it to class. Then, we have to cross-check the content with another group to make sure it works well and easy to understand.

14/01/20 - Week 02
In this week, We have discussed on the visual elements of the storyboard and has developed a set of storyboard sketches. Below are the sketches after seeking consultation from Mr Shamsul.

In this week, We were done with the digitalized of storyboards.

Feedback: Seems like your graphics are done in quite details, can imagine that the final outcome won't be too far away from this, good.

31/01/20 - Week 04
This week is the presentation week to present our mood board and animatics to the class.


Pdf 4: Moodboard

Feedback: Try to find another typeface as the title, gill sans is fine for labelling and subtitle. Beware of the complexity and workload of choosing a certain style of animation, avoid too complex, the goal is to able to be finished within this semester. Just stick to one transition throughout the video is fine, or maximum 2.

 10/02/20 - Week 06

Started from this week we have no physical class but online consultation. We are to manage our scheduled finish the infographic video within the given time. My task in the group is to finish all the graphic assets.

23/02/20 - Week 08
The graphics are mostly done on this stage.

The animation is left to Kar Yan and Abby while sound production we left to Kelly. This is the final outcome.

Interactive Design: Landing Page Design/ Project 1 10/09/19 - 17/09/19 (Week 3 - Week 4) Sia Man Sheng 0333877 LECTURE NOTES Lecture 3: Introduction to Module 10/09/19 - week 3 This week's lecture is about web standards and page structures. There is 3 factors that affects the performance of a website, including hardware and software: Browsers - Different Browsers contain variation of hdml at the early stage which result in the design of a web page to be vary. (e.g: google chrome, safari, firefox) Operating system -  Windows and IOS system could affect the presenting result of a web page as well. Screen Resolution - With thousands of variation from billboard to phones, different screen resolution has been developed. Besides, we did have a discussion on the differences between a static website and a dynamic website: Static Website Which can be only edited through changing the HDML source file For example: coachella, Apple official website, etc.

Publishing Design - Final Project 17/06/20 -15/07/20 (Week 10 - Week 14) Sia Man Sheng 0333877 INSTRUCTIONS This project required us to generate an Ebook for an iPad reading purpose (1024 x 768). As we are working on a digital publication, therefore all the visuals made in project 1 should be all animated. The iPad layout should include a navigation bar.
