Briefing: Module Introduction  25.08.20 | Week 1

We will not be using much creative application for this module except for the final project whereby we would need to put together a pitch deck. From Task 1 to Task 3, they lead to the design application of the final project with would require us to pitch the research and design strategy to Taylors Digital Marketing Department.

This week we were required to make a short presentation on the class to answer two questions:
  • What is analytics?
  • What can you do with analytics?
Below is the slide prepare by Chew Huang Yuet and I:

Lecture 1: Data Collection 01.09.20 | Week 2

Analytics: A part of data (just numbers until you give meaning to it).

There are 2 types: Quantitative (numerical data, who/when/where) and Qualitative (non numerical data, why/how).

Lecture 2: Web Analytics 08.09.20 | Week 3

1. Web Analytics: Analyse behavior of visitors and more for ui and ux designing

2. Social Media Analytics: collection of qualitative and quantitative data from social media sites

Project Brief by Taylor's Digital Marketing Team

This week we were required to understand adobe analytics' interface and features available, once done, we need to present the key features during class and below is the presentation slide:

Lecture 3: Emphathy Mapping 15.09.20 | Week 4

We had a lecture on how we can go about filling in the empathy mapping chart. We were introduced on the first of the 4 len's which is: Consumer. In which lies the persona who interacts and participates with the brand. They are our core consumers, people who we are trying to relate to. Persona's are fictional characters, however, their characteristics and details are not and are not based on assumptions but real information gathered from analytics.

Lecture 4: Data Distillation 27.10.20 | Week 10

Due week 12 - 20%

We are required to conduct extensive research while analysing the obtained information with the Four Lens in mind.

Final Project - Design Application and Development

Due week 15 - 40%

The focus is on secondary school crowd to get them excited on the idea of college. Considering The Risers outreach program to build a community to which they would want to become a part of.
